Based at Bavaria in Germany, the Audi AG was founded by August Horch in 1910. And for almost 100 years now, the Audi name has been a global brand that has earned quite a goodwill. But since 1964, it is almost completely owned by the Volkswagen Group - the group owns 99.7% of the stakes in the company. Audi AG evolved from Auto Union (or Auto Union Deutschland Ingolstadt), NSU, Horch and DKW.
There is an interesting history behind the Audi name. Though August Horch founded the company, and initially it was known as Horch after the family name, but he was soon removed from the company and the German court also decided that he could not use the name of the automobile he had founded when he attempted to do so in his new business. It was his son who renamed the new automobile as Audi and since then this new automobile has earned a better reputation than the previous Horch name. The English translation of the word Audi means "Advancement through Technology", and this is what the company has done.

1. Take off headrest and push the back of the seat, forward.
2. Slide seat cover over top of seat and pull down.
3. Fit base of cover snugly over seat.
4. Fasten elastic under seat with supplied "S" hooks.
5. Tie the supplied cord in position to ensure that the seat cover is held in shape.
6. Ensure that seat cover is fitting perfectly.
7. With a sharp instrument (razor blade /exacto knife, etc....), cut holes for your headrest lengthwise with respect to your car . Because the
seat cover stretches slightly, the holes need not be too big. That way, normal entering and exiting the car will not damage the seat cover.
8. Re-insert the headrest into your seat.
9. You're done! |
